We currently have a few different Event types that you can run: Standard, Series, and Automated. For the sake of this comparison, we'll only be looking at our Standard and Automated Events.

While they both work in a similar way, especially when it comes to the setup, there are some core differences that are important to consider!

Standard

A Standard Event allows you to run live sessions and engage with your Attendees in all the awesome ways you know and love.

Every live webinar Session is automatically recorded and has a universal link to the Replay Page that you can send to any specific contacts after the Session has been completed. Our Recordings would be a video replay of the Session itself.

On the other hand, an Automated Event would turn a video (you can use any of your past recordings) into a standalone Event that you can continue to share forever! Registrants would require a brand-new registration in order to view the new webinar.

Automated

An Automated Event is designed to automate the presentation of your Sessions. They work in a similar way to Standard Events, but you don’t have to share any content during the Event—instead, you can add and use a prerecorded video.

You’ll still be able to jump on and engage with your Attendees live through the chat, as well as create and schedule Resources that you wish to share.

You can enable On-Demand availability on your Automated Event to give Registrants an option to watch the video at any time on-demand.
