Enabling permissions for Mac OS X

For any Mac OS X users, if you're selecting Allow permissions and receiving a "Demio doesn't have permissions" message, your browser may not have device access at a system level.

The solution is to ensure the browser you are using has the correct device permissions enabled in the System Preferences.

You'll want to navigate to the Privacy tab under Security & Privacy. From there, you'll need to ensure that both the Camera and Microphone are allowed access by the browser you are using.

Once you've done that, you can restart the browser and try to extend permissions again.

If the problem persists, you may need to restart your computer and/or try using a different supported browser.

Enabling permissions for Windows 10

For any Windows 10 users, if you're selecting Allow permissions and receiving a "Demio doesn't have permissions" message, your browser may not have device access at a system level.

The solution is to ensure that you've allowed microphone and webcam access to apps in your Windows Settings.

You'll want to navigate to Privacy section of your Windows Settings. From there, you'll need to ensure that both the Camera and Microphone are allowed app access.

Once you've done that, you can restart the browser and try to extend permissions again.

If the problem persists, you may need to restart your computer and/or try using a different supported browser.

Browser-Side Permissions

Once you've ensured that your browser has permission to access your microphone and webcam on a system level, you should be able to allow Demio access directly from your browser.

Refer to our Enabling Browser Permissions article to learn how to do just that!
