When setting up your Integration with Pardot, you want to go ahead and enable this from the Integrations tab within your event.

Managing Contacts
In enabling Pardot, you will first be prompted to choose how to sync your Registrants to your CRM. You will need to select the checkbox to "Create a contact in Pardot" after which you can select the box to choose which list to add your new contact to.

You can proceed to do the same for both Attendees and No Shows, as well as you can enable "Record Activity".

Field Mapping
Once you have selected your Lists under the General tab, you can move on to mapping your fields. The First Name and Email fields are mapped by default, and you want to ensure that your field types in Pardot match the field types required in demio, in order to sync all remaining fields accurately.

Why Aren't My Lists Appearing in Demio's Field Mapping?

When integrating your Pardot CRM with Demio, it's essential to ensure that the property types of your lists in Pardot match the field types required by Demio. This ensures a seamless mapping process and accurate data synchronization. If your lists are not appearing in the dropdown menu, it is likely due to a mismatch in property types.

Steps to Resolve the Issue:

  1. Check List Types:

    • Go to your Pardot account and navigate to the list you want to map.

    • Edit the List you want to be reflected in Demio (e.g., CRM Visible, Public List, Email Test List).

  2. Adjust List Types:

    • If the list type does not match, you may need to adjust it in Pardot.

    • Create a new property or modify the existing one to match the required type (e.g., change a text property to a boolean property if needed).

  3. Update the Integration:

    • Once the list types are aligned, go back to the integration settings in Demio.

    • Refresh the field mapping page and check if the list now appears in the dropdown menu.

  4. Field Types in Demio (for reference and accuracy):

    • GDPR: Boolean (True/False)

    • Unique Join Link: Text

    • Location: Text

    • Event Title: Text

    • Session Date & Time: Date

    • UTM ID: Text

    • UTM Source: Text

    • UTM Medium: Text

    • UTM Name: Text

    • UTM Term: Text

    • UTM Content: Text

    • Referral URL: Text

    • Join Timestamp: Time

    • Exit Timestamp: Time

    • Attendance (Min): Number

    • Attendance %: Number

    • Focus: Number

    • Viewed Replay: Boolean (True/False)

    • Event ID: Number

  5. Session ID: Number

When fields are synced, this information can be found in the Prospects Overview in Pardot.

    Frequently Asked Questions:

What does "Record Activity" Mean? - When you enable Record Activity, this will create an activity record anytime a person registers for a session, or attends/ or misses a session (which is recorded once the Session ends). Note, this does not create an activity record when a replay is viewed.
