Let's get started! 😎

Creating an Event on Demio is extremely simple! From your Events, you'll want to select the Add New Event located in the top-right.

From there, you'll be able to choose from the drop-down between three different event types: Standard, Series, and Automated.

Creating a Standard Event! βœ…

With the Standard Event, you'll be able to schedule individual Sessions that Registrants can choose from.

All you need to do is set the Event name and you're all set! You'll be able to schedule the event afterwards from the Event summary.

Creating a Series Event! πŸ”„

With the Series Event, you'll be able to run multiple Sessions that any Registrants can stay registered for.

The setup for a Series Event is the same as a Standard Event, with all the scheduling options occurring afterwards.

Creating an Automated Event! ✨

With the Automated Event, you'll be able to schedule individual Sessions that Registrants can choose from. However, unlike a Standard Event, these Sessions will run using a pre-recorded video. Check out our Standard vs. Automated article for a full comparison.

Just like any other Event, all you need to do is set the Event name and you're all set! You'll be able to schedule the Event and upload your video afterward from the Event summary.

Next, you will see the following notice from the Event summary to Upload Video.

You can also upload a video from the Automation tab in the Event Customization options:

You also have the option to select a recording from your previous Replays of live Events, which allows you to quickly create a new Automated Event from your past Sessions:

The Registration page will also be disabled until a video is added. It will show the standard message: "This event is not ready."

The video should be in the following formats: .MP4 .MPG .MPEG .M4V .AVI .FLV .WEBM and up to 5 GB. We recommend ensuring that your video is web-optimized before uploading it.

When you upload a video, the status message will change to Processing and the notice bar will also change to the following:

πŸ’‘ Processing time can take from half the duration of the video up to the full duration of the video to complete processing. For example, a video that is 90 minutes in runtime will process anywhere between 45 to 90 minutes (depending on how busy our queue can get, it can take a little longer at times). With this in mind, you'll want to create your Automated webinar in advance of the time you want to schedule.

Once the video has finished processing, you will now notice the status will change to Active.

You also have the option to Swap Video or Download Media by clicking on the 3 dots.

Scheduling the First Session

When creating your Event, you will have the ability to schedule your first Session during the Event creation process. This will allow you to set certain items like the date of the Session, the start and estimated end time of the Session, and the time zone of the Event itself. If the time zone is updated, that time zone change will be reflected in the start and estimated end time of the Session you intend on scheduling!

You will have the option to create one Session with our Single Date & Time option, or an endless Recurring Times schedule that will repeat indefinitely. This is especially useful if you want to run the same Session and/or content more than once!

Once you've completed those steps, you'll be able to proceed with customizing your event, scheduling resources (for Automated Events), etc.

With all Event types, any additional scheduling (such as multiple Single Date & Time Sessions or any additional Recurring Times) will be handled afterwards from the Event Summary.
